A suspicious person complaint led to charges and the recovery of stolen property.

The Oxford OPP responded to the complaint at about 6 a.m. Tuesday at a Lisgar Avenue home in Tillsonburg.

Police said they located several people at the address and their investigation led to a 23-year-old Woodstock man being charged with resisting arrest and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He’s scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of justice in Woodstock at a later date.

The investigation found stolen gardening equipment and tools. Police said they returned the equipment to the OPP Tillsonburg detachment and are seeking its owners.

The OPP believe the items were stolen from properties in the Herford Street area in Tillsonburg during the night of July 1.

Anyone with information can contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
