Don’t miss your chance to have a bite to eat with the big man this year as Breakfast with Santa put on by the Homestead Coop in Carman is back for another holiday season but this year the event is going to be even bigger as it has been moved to the Carman Community Hall.
“This year we have changed to a larger venue and we are hoping for a good crowd,” said human resource manager, Ray Phillips. “There will be a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee, as well as numerous stations for kids games, crafts and entertainment including a make-your-own Christmas ornament, homemade playdough station, and a Santa hockey shootout.”
The RCMP, the Carman and Dufferin Fire Department, and the Boyne Regional Library will also be hosting booths at the event. Of course, Santa Claus himself will be there with his elves to bring joy to all the young ones in attendance. Kathryn Reimer Photography will be offering photos with Santa for order/purchase as well.
“Homestead Co-op is member-owned, which means we are a locally owned business. As such, we give back to our community in many ways, including sponsoring the Breakfast with Santa event. Our employees, together with Chamber of Commerce members and Christmas Cheer members volunteer their time to work at the event, and proceeds go to the Christmas Cheer board.”
The cost of attending the Breakfast with Santa event is $3 for children under 12, $5 for everyone over 12, and family rates can be purchased at $15. Breakfast will be on from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
